Match report
The first semifinal match of the Balkan Super League, today Partizan 1953 defeated the home team of the Southern Region 20-8 in Tivat. The match was played at the FC Arsenal stadium in front of about 200 spectators, most of whom enthusiastically cheered on the black and whites. Partizan supporters created a real football atmosphere and throughout the game they enthusiastically cheered for the visiting club. The home team offered excellent resistance to the current champion of the Balkan Super League. The fact that after the first half the result was a draw 8-8 illustrate that. The Black and Whites arrived in Montenegro with a combined team. A large part of the first team players stayed in Belgrade in order to rest and prepare as well as possible for the next weekend and certainly the game of the season against the Red Star in the playoff finals of the Serbian Championship. That is why the professional staff took as many as 8 players of the junior team to Tivat, four of whom played for the seniors for the first time. However, that in no way diminishes the exceptional game shown by the players from the Southern Region. The Montenegrin representative entered this duel stronger than the two Greek internationals, Bastas and Nianakas, as well as behind the representative of Serbia, Stefan Arsić.
